Nick Parsons (and his trusty scanner) is on a mission to make past issues of Quo fan club magazines available for download from his site. There's already quite a few there, along with some rareities. Great stuff! From The Collectors Of... by Terry Woudenberg. With lots of things a Quo fan wants to know about the band, details of releases all over the world, Terry's collection, The Army - the Dutch Quo FC, etc. Launched on December 8th '98 it's a great site for fans. The Australian Quo Page The Australian Quo Page has lots of downloadable video clips, some new real audio, and a lot of Oz related Quo stuff. By Tony Marles. Now includes has videos of various promo TV interviews and appearances during Quo's 2003 tour down under, click on the link to 'Australian 2003 Tour Log' on the front page. Raiders of the lost Chord Roger Johansson's new updated site has listings of Quo live tapes, bootlegs and videos and a section on Quo memorabilia. A great collection of Quo desktop pictures to cheer up your computer, and lots of great Quo photos. All this and it's one of the best designed Quo sites on the net. Quo on MySpace! Thanks to Colin Colquhoun, Quo now have their own MySpace page... check it out. Quo Collectors Page Garry Fieldings site has comprehensive listings of Quo collectors items from around the world, including some rare international releases, and bootlegs. Now includes a selection of rare picture sleeves. The First Status Quo Fan Page on the internet. The first ever Quo Pages on the internet from John-Alex Burglund in Norway were started in November 1995. There is lots of Quo information, all the tour dates from 1976 onwards, discographies and lyrics to Quo songs. Last Updated in 1997. Status Quo Club Peter Quoling has started this club at Yahoo.com which has a growing membership. The club offers an online chat room, a message list, photo albums and a link list. It's a great place to meet other fans. Status Quo - Rockin' All Over The World. Great Dutch Quo site with lots of stuff, animated gifs and pictures, by Martin Van Den Berg. A Status Quo Page This is a new site by Thomas Boqvist, which has some personal observations about the band, a short history and an album discography. Ian has set himself the task of writing guitar tabs for all of Quo songs, which should keep him busy... he's already done most of them. This site is no relation to Dave Oxley's book of the same name. Tony's Yorkshire Roadhouse by Tony Priestley, with Quo collectables wanted and for sale, a selection of live recordings for swaps, and plenty of other good Quo stuff. The Makers of... is by Michael Cluse, and is a complete listing of all songs Quo have released since 1966, along with release details, catalogue numbers, producers and writers. It also includes listings of recordings by ex band members John Coghlan and Alan Lancaster. Bryan Coates' home page is mainly a Quo page with personal reviews of the Quo albums, Quo pictures and links to other home pages. PureQuo's' home page by Mark Greenwood, is an insight into the goings on before and after gigs by a bunch of Quo fans called the Rabble Bunch, plus lots of photos of Quo. Umleitung Dirk Weise and Thomas Lockenvitz have updated their site which is listing of Quo bootlegs and bootleg covers. Quo Tribute Site by René Peterman features a lot of older and photos of Quo, aqnd listings of bootleg CDs and DVDs. The Essential Quo a new site by Carl Traill has news, pictures and Quo information. StefanQuo's homepage Stefan Koch's homepage is partly in English and partly in German. The Mexican Quo Site Following Quo's gigs in Neza, Mexico in February this year, David Ramirez Espinosa has put up the first Mexican Quo site, parts of it are still 'under construction' and it's in the Spanish language. The Status Quo Brazil Homepage By Fernando Vieira and Gustavo Pereira. This is the new Status Quo home page from Brazil, which now has lots of pictures from Quo's 2003 shows in São Paulo and Rio. The site is in Portuguese and English. The Quoportal. A new site, mainly for German fans, by Jürgen Adametz and Michael Schiller, which is a links/portal page of all the major Quo sites on the internet, with an emphasis on those in the German language. LeQuoMotive A Yahoo club about Quo in French, for french fans! Status Quo France A Quo page in French (and English) which has a French discography, a recently updated Quo history in French, and a message board. The site is run by Eric Favé. Status Quo Association - France New site for Quo in France which is a sister site to statusquo.fr (above). From this site they organise events for French fans. The site is run by Bruno Ponchon. Statusquo.rockt Michael Schiller's Quo page is all in German, and includes a german forum, Quo greeting-cards, a fan picture galery, a history of Quo in German, and lots more. Has recently been completely updated and re-designed (April 05). Quo Ticker Site A new site in German by Jürgen Adametz is designed to show quick Quo information, it has lots of news, chart positions, fan club addresses and a new interview with Bob Young about his writing for the Heavy Traffic album and other things.. Now also in English. French Quota French language listing of Status Quo Live CDs (boots), by Patrick Specht. Quofool's Weblog Fred Hagelaar aka 'Quofool' does a Quo weblog with Dutch top 40 statistics, Quo concert archives, news and much more. Claude's Quo site Claude Fieni's Quo site comes from Switzerland, but is in Italian. quodemencia.com Jorge Mancilla's Quo tribute site is in Spanish, and has videos, pictures and a Spanish discography. You can hear tracks on her MySpace page. TeleMaster's Replica Guitars. Mike Smith makes replicas of Ricks and Francis' telecasters. When he showed one to Francis recently, he thought it was so good, he bought it! Record & CD Collector's Homepage A Collection of discographies, including a large Status Quo section, showing picture sleeves, b-sides, album tracks, catalogue numbers for Worldwide releases. Also includes rough valuations and a trading page, by Matthew Bradshaw. Danny Clifford Photographer Danny Clifford took a lot of pictures of Quo in the late seventies. The gallery on his site a has a few examples of them along with other artists he has photographed. Fred Punter is doing a blog about Quo cover bands, mainly in the dutch language. State Of Quo/John Coghlans Quo....(www.stateofquo.com) The UK's most well known Quo cover band, who also tour with ex drummer John Coghlan, this site features tour dates, photos and more etc. Make sure you go see them for a taste of old Quo, played as it should be. The site is by Pär Engström. Spare Parts by Andrew Austin. Spare Parts are from Beds/Bucks area, and have been gigging since the early '90s. The band play a lot of Quo songs in their set from all eras, and are doing a lot of gigs in that area. The site is constantly being updated, so check back regularly for more details. Quomania A Quo cover band from Switzerland, with gig dates and their songlist, complete with lyrics. Lekker Fris A Quo influenced band from from Assen in the Nederlands that play a set that includes a lot of Quo songs.By Hans van den Brink. Quo Vadis Tony Marles Australian Quo cover band, which also incorporates the Australian Status Quo Tribute Show. Straight As Quo A new site for this cover band from Hull, with an impressive list of gigs played, current dates, pictures and set lists. Quotation The site for the new line up of the Dutch Quo Cover Band, by Jan-Toine van Hooft. There is also a page about the old line of Quotation by Frank van Weereld here. Status Quiz Status Quiz are from Sweden, their site has pictures and details, and a couple of mp3's of their version of Quo songs, by Jarmo Miettinen. Quo-Incidence Quo-Incidence were formed in Oct 99 and are back gigging after an 18 month break. They are based in Somerset and are about to record a new demo cd. Counterfeit Quo Originally formed as Piledriver in Essex in early 1995, Counterfeit Quo are regularly gigging throughout the UK and Ireland. Their site has upcoming gig listings, a history of the band, photos and details of their set list. According to the site: "Not only do you get the great QUO songs of the 70's, but the whole, totally live rock and roll show, at a volume not heard since The Rainbow Theatre 1972"...Check it out! 'Quo' (Germany) Another cover band called 'Quo'. This one comes from Hamburg and have been going for 13 years, playing gigs all over Germany. The site has details about the band, an MP3 of their version of Whatever You Want, their set list, and how to book them. Shameless Quo From Derby in the UK, this Quo cover band (From the fakers of...!) say they are "Recreating the raw power of Status Quo". Gig dates are listed on their site and there's reviews that testify that they put in a great rocking show. The site has been completely re-designed (March 2003) ....Don't miss them! Lay Down A new Swedish band from Gothenburg that play Quo songs from the seventies, their new site has gig dates and information about the band. Status Clone A professional U.K. tribute band who have a power-packed, driving stage show, featuring Quo songs from all eras. The members of the band are all experienced players, and they have a full list of gigs throughout the UK. Excellent web site too, and they've even been featured in Guitarist magazine! These guys are going for it! Bogus Quo A band from Southampton in the UK that were formed in November 2000. The site has pics, gigs, and info about the band. You can also buy their album 'Covered' featuring bogus versions of five of Quo's hits! Paper Plane A Coverband from Holland who's main influence is Quo, but they also play songs by other artists, Shania Twain, The Stones, Ben E King, Deep Purple and many others... but all played in Quo's style! It's an interesting idea... check them out. Squaw Based in Switzerland, Squaw were formed in the early 90's. Their new site has pictures, tour dates and contact information for the band. On The Level A cover band from the North East of England, the site features gig listings, photos, their set list and details about the band. Strictly Quo Strictly Quo were formed in South Wales in 1998, their new site has gig listings, their set list (which includes tracks from Heavy Treffic) and details of their CD. Staid As Quo Based in Regensberg, Bavaria, Germany, Staid As Quo were formed in 2002 and recently supported Slade in Regensberg. Status Quote Based in Boston, Lincolnshire, Status Quote are a five member tribute band. Their site has gig listings, photos, and information about the band. Piledriver - (Australia) Formed in Early 2005 by two Melbourne musicians: Andrew Forrer and Wayne Smith. Piledriver play sets of mainly older Quo material. Smiledriver A new cover band based in Berlin, Germany, with an English singer. Smiledriver play regularly around Berlin and their site has sound samples of their versions of some Quo hits. Status Duo This is probably the world's only Status Quo tribute Duo. A two man tribute to Rossi and Parfitt playing hits from 40 years of Status Quo. On The Level - (Perth, Western Australia) On The Level are a rockin' boogie blues band playing lots of Quo, as well as The Stones, ZZ Top, Muddy Waters, Canned Heat, Fogerty and originals. The site has a gig guide (updated weekly) merchandise, sounds, Bios, a links page and photos etc. Status Quo Tribute A tribute band from Finland, Status Quo Tribute have been paying Quo songs for around 10 years. A list of upcoming gigs is on the site, along with photos and other details. Muckefuck Band Berlin 5 musicians from Berlin (Germany), who originally formed in 1974, broke up, then got together again in 2003, and now play 'several hours' of Quo titles The name Muckefuck is connected with coffee houses of the same name from East Germany (apparently!). Just Supposin' Recently formed band from the south coast area, Just Supposin' play classic Quo from the 60's to early 80's. Site has listings of upcoming gigs in that area, a set list, photos and more information about the band. Statoz Quo - (Queensland, Australia) Recently formed by ex UK cover band 'State Of Quo' bass player Tony Lingard, Statoz Quo also features original Quo keyboard player Roy Lines, along with former members of Quo cover bands 'State Us Quo', 'Quo Vadis' and 'Robbers Dog'. They're the Ozzie Quo cover band supergroup! The band has been up and running a for a short while and already has a busy date sheet... full details on their site. Burning Flamingos - (Germany) Flamingos guitarist Armin tells us that they spent months to find the right name for their Quo cover band, but as all the good names are taken, they had to think out of the box! The Burning Flamingos' site has all the usual information, their set list and also some videos of the band in action. Dustpipe - (Germany) Dustpipe are a German cover band, playing mostly Quo but also a range of other music. On their site you can buy their CD and T-shirts, get tour dates and read all about the band. The site is in German. Piledriver - (Denmark) Piledriver have played together for 7 years, gigging in their home country of Denmark. Their site is in Dansk. Tribute to Status Quo 'Tribute to Status Quo' are from Germany and do a full Quo tribute show. Site has all the information about them Quota Quota are a Rossi and Parfitt duo performing guitars and vocals to backing tracks of mainly Quo hits.
